VerIn This Is the Police 2 - the sequel to the acclaimed film noir drama This Is the Police! - take the law into your own hands.
Run the police department, divide your cops, arrests and interrogates suspects, make tough decisions - and don't end up in the prison of your icy, violence-ridden border town.
Welcome to Sharpwood, where everyone knows the names of their neighbors and upholds tradition, no matter how barbaric this tradition may be. Smugglers, gangs and noisy populists have sat down here. Desperation and violence proliferate like cancer in the heart of the city. A tough job for new Sheriff Lily Reed (spoken by Sarah Hamilton from the acclaimed adventure saga The Longest Journey). She struggles to restore order and peace - with unplanned men as subordinates who are not accustomed to taking orders from a young woman. But everything changes when an enigmatic stranger comes to Sharpwood, calling himself Warren Nash. No one knows what he brings with him: redemption or damnation.
Features:
• Master the surprising mix of game styles. Like its predecessor, This Is the Police combines 2 different genres and mechanics into a unique, story-driven experience - this time with even more unpredictable twists. Is it an adventure? A strategy game? A simulation? A management game? A Visual Novel? A puzzle game? It's all of it and much more!
• Become part of an uncompromising story in which no one is truly innocent. The residents of Sharpwood are less than helpful or even openly cruel. They face poverty and hunger with ever more violent outbreaks of domestic violence, while the helplessness of the authorities leads more and more people to turn to "ghosts of the forest" or archaic cults. Because of constant problems with food supplies, smugglers, many of them ex-military, have the city in their hands. Challenge the innocent, enter into deals with criminals and torture anyone who doesn't want to parry - you can use all means to achieve your goals.
• Keep your friends close to you, but your enemies even closer. Your subordinates are not just a resource; they are living people with their own strengths, weaknesses, fears and prejudices - and you have to count on them all if you want to survive. It's similar with the other residents: in Sharpwood, everything depends on relationships, and you never know when a friendship with the butcher or the seamper might save your life.
