HISTORY
In a bygone age, warriors known as the Seven Heroes fought to save humanity. Praise slowly turned into curses as the fear of their power grew in the other Ancients and they banished the heroes to another dimension. Their good deeds lived on in legends passed down through the centuries, predicting that the heroes would return when the world needed them most.

True to legend, the heroes have returned... But their long exile has changed them and now they want to take revenge on those who have wronged them.

Take on the role of the Emperor of Avalon as legions of fiends spread across the land. Defend and expand your empire over several generations, and defeat the vengeful Seven Heroes one by one to save the world!

• Characters & Imperial Succession - Team up with characters from over 30 classes, each with preferred weapons, unique abilities, and effective tactics. Choose the next emperor from a range of candidates, each of whom has a claim to the throne and can become the next protagonist. The knowledge and abilities of past rulers are passed down through legacy magic, forming enduring bonds between you and your characters.
• Freeform Scenario - REVENGE OF THE SEVEN features a unique narrative structure with many experiences that take place in response to your choices and the goal you tackle first, from your approach to expanding the Empire to the order in which you face the Seven Heroes. Your actions and decisions will dramatically affect the course of the story.
• Combat - The strategic, turn-based combat system of the original has been further improved with a timeline system. Enjoy classic SaGa mechanics such as "Glimmer", which allows you to learn new skills in the middle of battle, and "Formations", which offer unique advantages to your entourage. The remake also uses the United Strike feature, which allows you to perform combo attacks with your entourage to turn the tide of battle!
• Graphics - The original's 2D pixel sprites are now 3D models, but retain their adorable and familiar appearance, based on the wonderful concept art by Tomomi Kobayashi. All cities and caves are now also fully rendered, with revised terrain and layout.
• Three difficulty levels - Relaxed, Normal or Hard. Relaxed puts more focus on the narrative. Normal is recommended for experienced RPG players who want balance. Hard is perfect for players who want to experience the brutal challenge of the original version.
• Music & Voice Acting - Kenji Ito returns with a wonderful soundtrack full of new arrangements! You can use the options to choose between the original and the new music. In addition, there is now a full voice acting in Japanese and English.
