Convinced that this can only be the misdeed of an Another, Kyoichi and Arata begin to investigate. In the process, they find out that lovesickness can result in far worse things than a broken heart. But tensions also arise within the team. A case that could be related to the disappearance of Kyoichi's sister seventeen years ago puts the Midnight Occult Civil Servants to the test.
