Katrielle can count on support in her investigation: The student Ernest Drowrig hires as an assistant in her detective office and Sherl finally completes the trio of sniffer dogs. The talking dog first becomes Katrielle's first client and later her faithful companion.

For the first time, a game from the famous puzzle series can also be played on the big TV screen. This allows aspiring hobby detectives to tackle the puzzles together with friends and family. The controls are as intuitive and simple as they are typical of the Layton series. The game can be played via the buttons and buttons or via motion control.
