Capitol police officer John Cale (Channing Tatum) has been denied his dream job with the Secret Service as a bodyguard for President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). In order not to let the disappointment show in front of his young daughter, he takes her on a tour of the White House, which is meanwhile being attacked by a heavily armed paramilitary unit.
