• Tell their story - The most important story in Starfield is the one you tell with your character. Start your journey by customizing your appearance and choosing your background and characteristics. Are you one of the seasoned explorers, charming diplomats, stealthy cyberrunners, or do you want to be something completely different? The choice is yours. Decide for yourself who you are and what you will be.
• Explore Space  - Travel through the sea of stars and explore over 1,000 planets. Visit bustling cities, explore dangerous bases, and traverse wild landscapes. Meet and recruit an unforgettable cast of characters, engage in the adventures of a variety of factions, and embark on quests that take you across the Populated Systems. The next story and the next experience are just waiting to be discovered by you.  
• Command the ship of your dreams - Navigate and command the ship of your dreams. Customize your ship's appearance, modify core systems - including weapons and shields - and assign crew members to earn unique bonuses. In the depths of space, you'll be embroiled in risky skirmishes and confronted with random missions, docking at star stations, and even hijacking enemy ships to add to your own collection.  
• Discover, Gather, Build - Explore planets and encounter the fauna, flora, and resources you need to craft everything from medicine and food to equipment and weapons. Build outposts and hire people to mine materials on their own, and set up cargo links to transfer resources. Invest these resources in research projects to unlock unique crafting recipes.
• Charging and Unlocking - Space can be a dangerous place. A sophisticated combat system gives you the tools to deal with any type of situation. Whether you prefer long-range rifles, laser weapons, or explosives, each weapon type can be modified to suit your playstyle. Weightless environments enrich the battle for chaos and spectacle, while boostpacks allow you to move around with unimagined freedom.
