For Jason and Lucia, it has always been clear that they have bad cards in life.

But when a simple crooked thing goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in all of America. In the midst of a criminal conspiracy that spans the entire state of Leonida, they are forced to rely on each other more than ever before if they are to survive.

The protagonists:

• Jason Duval - Jason is looking for the simple life, but everything is only getting harder.
Jason grew up surrounded by crooks and crooks. After some time in the army to leave his arduous teenage years behind, Jason ended up in the Keys, where he does what he does best – work for local drug traffickers. Maybe it's time to try something new.
• Lucia Caminos - As soon as she could walk, Lucia's father taught her how to fight.

Cal is a friend of Jason's and also works for Brian. He feels safest when he hangs out at home and listens to the radio of the coast guard, with a few beers on the side and a few open tabs in a private browser session.
• Boobie Ike - It's all about the heart – the Jack of Hearts.
Boobie is a local legend in Vice City – and that's how he behaves. He is one of the few who has managed to turn the hard times on the streets into a serious empire consisting of real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. Boobie has a smile for everyone until it comes to business.

Dre'Quan was always more of a doer than a gangster. Even when he was dealing on the street to make ends meet, his breakthrough as a musician was his goal.

Bae-Luxe and Roxy aka Real Dimez have been friends since high school – two girls who know how to make ice-cold cash by ripping off petty dealers, lewd rap songs and relentless social media presence.
• Raul Bautista - Experience counts.
Confidence, charm and cunning – Raul is a seasoned bank robber and always on the lookout for talent who is willing to take the necessary risks to make the most of it.
• Brian Heder - Nothing beats a mudslide at sunset.
Brian is a typical drug pusher from the golden smuggling days in the Keys. Although he still moves stuff through his boatyard with his third wife, Lori, Brian has been in the business long enough to let others do the dirty work for him.

The locations:

• Vice City – Captured the glamour, speed, and greed of America in a single city. Every neighborhood has something to offer—from the pastel-colored Art Deco hotels and gleaming white sands of Ocean Beach to the bustling panaderías (bakeries) in Little Cuba and the counterfeit brands at the Tisha Wocka flea market — to VC Port, the cruise capital of the world.
• Leonida Keys – Life in this tropical archipelago is not spectacular, but relaxed. Grab a drink and kick back in a lounge chair – but be alert: you're right on the cusp of some of America's most beautiful and dangerous waters.
• Grassrivers – You never know what's hidden beneath the surface of this primeval wetland. The alligators may be the most well-known attraction, but there are far deadlier predators and stranger discoveries in the middle of the mangroves.
• Port Gellhorn – Cheap motels, abandoned attractions and empty shopping malls no longer attract tourists – but a new economy has established itself in this once popular resort. It is powered by strong beer, painkillers and gas station energy drinks. Jump on a dirt bike and hold on to your wallet.
• Ambrosia – In the heart of Leonida, American industry and old-fashioned values still reign supreme – no matter the cost. The Allied Crystal sugar refinery secures jobs, while the local motorcycle gang takes care of just about everything else.
• Mount Kalaga – A national landmark on the state's northern border. Mount Kalaga offers world-class hunting, fishing, and off-road opportunities. The lush surrounding forests are home to hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals – far from the prying eyes of the government.
