Robert McCall once worked as a contract killer for the CIA. But even in retirement, death remained his constant companion: To ease his conscience, the equalizer fought for justice. So that he can finally leave the past behind, McCall finally emigrates to Italy. But even in his new homeland, evil does not leave him in peace - local gangster bosses terrorize his friends. So the one-man army starts a campaign of revenge against the Sicilian mafia.

In the action thriller THE EQUALIZER 3, Denzel Washington once again shines in his signature role as the charismatic avenger of the oppressed. Antoine Fuqua directed again without frills and compromises - with its furiously choreographed fights and brute hardness, the film proves to be a treat for friends of handmade action cinema. In the spectacular last part of the successful series, ex-child star Dakota Fanning plays alongside the great Denzel Washington again after MAN UNDER FIRE (2004).
