The different game modes and options guarantee that everyone can play along. Choose Stages in Smash mode, set the rules and get into battles for up to eight players! Or put together a team of three or five fighters and compete in one-on-one battles against your opponent's team in the squad smash. And that wasn't all!

Ghosts can be used to depict battles between characters from more video game series than ever before. How many do you think you can collect? The Power of Ghosts strengthens your fighter's powers: Primary ghosts increase attack and defense, while sub-ghosts give you special gifts. Choose Primary Spirit and Sub-Spirit(he) and make your fighter stronger than ever!

More than 100 stages are included!
For each stage there is a battlefield and a ? version. Already known stages are even better now! Special stage elements provide additional surprises, from stages that change shape to suddenly appearing guest characters. In Stage Change mode, you select two stages instead of one and experience an automatic change of location in the middle of the fight!

Here you can set your favorite songs for fights and as background music. In total there are over 800 songs!

Gain the upper hand with items!
A well-used item can make the difference between victory and defeat. If you throw a Pokéball or a Masterball, a Pokémon will help you in battle. Guest characters can also support you as helper trophies.

All currently available amiibo figures from the Super Smash Bros. collection (sold separately) are supported.
