Emily desperately wants to become president of her fraternity. To achieve this goal, she buys a sloth from a dealer for exotic animals - the cute creature is supposed to serve as a mascot and earn her the necessary votes in the election. In fact, "Alpha" becomes a hit on social media and gives its owner enormous popularity. What no one suspects: The animal captured by poachers in Panama is a bloodthirsty and very vengeful little monster.

The killer with the sharp claws murders with a shower sponge, takes selfies and drinks beer - Alpha is probably the craziest serial killer in horror film history! The consistently self-deprecating film testifies to a pronounced love for the genre, which quotes classics like GREMLINS and SHINING with a wink, but also doesn't leave out fans of modern productions like SCREAM QUEENS and proves to be extremely creative in the roaringly funny bloody deeds. The result is a tremendously funny horror comedy with a sloth to fear.
