According to research by the ghost researcher Professor I. Gidd, the moon caused the spirits of the valley to behave peacefully... until one night the dark moon mysteriously broke into several pieces!

As a result, the valley is teeming with howling, scurrying, mischief spirits! Can Luigi find the lost Darkmoon pieces and restore peace to the valley?

Luckily, Professor I. Gidd has equipped Luigi for the job of ghost hunter. For example, there is the strobe flash, which Luigi can use to blind opponents, as well as the reliable fright path 09/15. It not only sucks up ghosts and objects, but can also affect objects in the environment in many ways.
