Alice (CRICKET BROWN) - a young girl with a hearing loss - is inexplicably able to hear, speak and even heal the sick after the Virgin Mary has supposedly appeared to her. As this news spreads and people from all over the world flock to see the miracles it performs, a disgraced journalist (JEFFREY DEAN MORGAN) visits the small town of New England in the hope of giving his career a new boost with his research on Alice. As frightening events happen around him, he wonders if the phenomena are the work of the Virgin Mary or if there is something diabolical behind them.
