The unemployed clown Louison (Dominique Pinon) becomes a caretaker in a dilapidated apartment building. Butcher Clapet (Jean-Claude Dreyfus), the owner of the house, is particularly pleased because he has to feed the stomachs of the greedy residents of the house. Whenever he places an advertisement for a janitorial job, it means that fresh meat is offered again in the shop counter a little later.
