Dario Argento is one of the formative creators of the Italian thriller, the giallo, and has had a strong influence on modern horror films. Extravagant stagings, spectacular murders and ominous rock sounds characterize masterpieces such as SUSPIRIA and TENEBRAE. In the film, fellow directors such as Nicolas Winding Refn (THE NEON DEMON) and Guillermo del Toro (PAN ´S LABYRINTH), among others, analyze the work of the Italian, whom they admire, companions such as Goblin composer Claudio Simonetti rave about working with him and his family also has their say.
