"The second book in the Blasphemous series heralds the return of the penitent, with a story that follows on from the free "Wounds of Eventide" DLC, in which the heart in the sky announced the return of the miracle and predicted the birth of a new child of the miracle.

The penitent wakes up in a foreign land, expelled from his final resting place. Thrown back into the endless cycle of life, death and resurrection, he has no choice but to explore this dangerous new world and unravel its long-forgotten secrets.

Hordes of grotesque enemies stand in your way, in anticipation of the Last Judgment, executed by the merciless hand of the penitent. Horribly disfigured bosses lurk in the darkness who want to send you back to the tomb from which you once emerged.

Defeating them won't be easy, but since Blasphemous 2 offers even more opportunities to customize and improve the skill set, as well as valuable additions to the arsenal of weapons, the righteous prank can succeed in endless anger and thus victory. Perhaps.
